As soon as you sliced your 3D model, you can start printing it. This Tutorial describes just the basic steps of 3D printing. For more details consult the pictures on the bottom or ask staff/the internet.

Note that using the 3D Printer requires a seperate introduction by staff.

Preparing the Printer

1. Turn on the printer with the switch on the back.

2. Is the printing bed & the buildplate clean of dust and grease? If not, wipe it down with a paper towel and some isopropyl alcohol.

3. Insert your filament of choice into Slot #1 (numbers are on the right side of the printer).

   1. Use the pincers to make a sharp, pointy end on the filament.
   2. Take buffer spool from the buffer on the right side by pushing on the front and back clamp

   

   1. Push the filament through the tubing to the spool, wrap it arount once and continue pushing it through the outgoing tube towards the MMU3 (stop before entering the MMU)
   2. Put the buffer spool back into the buffer.
   3. Load the filament into the MMU3 using the controls on the display or the buttons on the MMU3 itself (left / right for moving to Extruder #1, middle for loading)

   

   1. Push the Filament into the MMU3 carfully until it grips the material and loads it.
   2. Different colours and materials are stored in the box below the table. Follow the instructions on the display of the printer for loading/unloading/changing filament. The filament roles are placed on the right side of the printer.

4. Enter the USB drive and select your model.

5. Check if the printing settings are correct and corresponding with the material you print with (nozzle temperature, bed temperature, material). Usually the printer takes care of this by itself.
